Just some sample website design stuff we have been talking about recently with our clients from recent website projects:
[Website Client] We are getting some very, very positive feedback for the website. However, nearly all of it has also commented on the pictures not showing what the tradesman is actually doing, can we do anything to rectify this? Perhaps using multiple photos on each banner so that they are smaller, but show more.I appreciate that there will be a cost factor, but it would be worth it.
[Website Designers] Thanks were really chuffed with how the website came out. As the majority of the photos were close up, some of the photos were tricky to play with. Also a few of them were portrait photos. We have fixed the size of the banner as you don’t want it any bigger really. In future try and take the photos a bit further away and you should be golden. Also try and remember you actually know what the child is doing, to the average user they are just colourful photos that make the site look pretty.
[Website Client 2] The website is really looking great and professional – you and your Delicious Team have done a great job. Can you make the ‘wallpaper’ stronger? I’m sure it’s just the lighting in my room but it hardly shows up.
My Partner is moving events to become a button at the top and I would like to add a blog (or newsletter) and as people log on and I start to build a database I can email a link to it on my site or email it to them. Can this be done?
Refer to the Website CMS – can you talk me through where to look for stats so I can see what pages are most popular etc.
[Website Designers] My user account for the backend has been deleted, also the ftp account I was given has not worked for a while. I emailed the admin girl regarding this matter but received no reply. It seems extremely stupid that their current hosting providers would lock out the developer of the website.
If you can supply me with login details and get the ftp details off of ur hosting provider I will happily take a look.
Can you help with the editing of this page? I want to add the comment that’s currently in red text, but I want it in black text, in italics and ideally a slightly smaller font size than the main description above it.
Could you please change the banner on the home page to the new Christmas one now. Also a customer bought some products and even though they spent over £100.00 they were still charged the postage. I also had an order which said pending on the order but paypal sent an e-mail to say it had been paid. Have we got a slight hiccup do you think?
Any ideas? When I go in and try to italicise it, or change the font size/text colour I’m able to do one thing, but not all three together for the desired result.
[Website Designers] Wallpaper made darker last night. Anything visual we has to do as he holds the original files. I will move the events to the top. Blogs and or newsletters will obviously cost more money. We have already bolted on a newsletter which signs up members but that’s it. There are free blogs / newsletters out there but these will not be fully integrated with your site and are also hard to use.
Please find attached the Proofs for the A6 Postcard. Due to the content that we have I’ve decided to go with a Portrait layout, to fit the content best. Also being conscious that we don’t want this to just look like a piece of junk mail I’ve included the Logo at the top of the page too, so that Customers will pick up on it as relevant.
Included here is the back of the postcard and 2 versions of the back of the postcard. Please advise which you prefer. I’ve included the “Post To:” text, as your address in on there too, don’t want loads of flyers ending up through your letterbox instead of their intended destination.
Please ignore the grey border, this is simple a guide for the bleeds areas for the printers. Your Cards will be laid out as per inside of this.
If you are good to go on these tonight, give me a call and I will send though the Full Resolution PDFs of your preferred layout. Also if you could proof read that would be great. I’ve looked over it and it all appears fine to me.
