It is our feeling that the 50+ age group is often not well catered for on most, if not all, swingers websites. Not for any good reason, but that younger people tend to be favoured. The truth is most of us wouldn’t complain if we were younger. There is an increasing number of us, and at the same time we are tending to become discouraged and not bothering to pursue our hobby. We think there is a market for this.
Now we would love to have an SDC type website, but don’t have countless thousands of pounds to spend on set up or maintenance. Spicy Match is also quite good, but to give examples of websites we don’t think are particulate good – swingers heaven, local swingers, fab swingers.
The simplest (dating) site we have seen is Ashely Madison. No frills, no extras. We have used it and it is effective and simple. That has most, of the features that we think are needed. We appreciate that it is one thing to set up the site and another to get it known.

Its easy to say what you want but if you are on a budget and want us to create a quote / proposal eventually you need to be specific with your requirements, to give you an idea of costs an adult / swinging membership site with tiered membership roles that are chargeable like the Ashley site will cost between £7000 and £9000
We build and promote your site to make it exactly how you want it and function exactly how you want it, hopefully if you take on some of our advice along the way we can make this a winning website that ranks highly and brings you in lots of members. [Swingers Website] What we would probably do is to have a 30 day trial membership, followed by monthly ( and other) fees. We wouldn’t have tiered membership as AM has, we just like the simpler appearance of it compared with the numerous sections of other websites. Maybe that would be for later. We would want a simple, but classy looking data base that you would normally see on such websites, the ability to contact each other, like, nudge, validate etc. I think we would do just UK, but no objection to the US as maybe more to gain there. This would be a risk financially as we cannot guarantee success.
[Website Designers] A face to face meeting isn’t 100% required if we can work out everything via email / phone but the option is yours and am happy to meet. Once we are totally happy knowing what you want I will agree a cost for this work and time it will take and request a 50% deposit then once the website is complete and you have no more changes we will request the remaining balance. Payment will need to be by bank transfer or cash – and will draft an invoice once we agree the project scope and cost.
[Swingers Website Project] More time now. All your comments have been really helpful as both of us are still formulating our ideas on this. We realise that there are many questions to be answered on design, content etc., etc., but I suppose the most basic question we have is simply this: will we and when, recoup the initial/ongoing outlay? We see this as a business venture, so ultimately profitability is the issue. Whilst we have mentioned some websites that we think are pretty good, we do not necessarily want to copy them.
I realise also that we will get what we pay for, so we need some sort of a handle on how the initial cost will give the best chance of success. As a guy who has started business in my life I am fully aware of the risk in any investment. This is not like most websites advertising an existing business – this is a new venture.
On the website costs you mentioned, I would want to assess the likelihood of success, as with any figure. I would have to say that if we could do something less than the figures quoted that would be a good starting point, but need a very clear picture of what we would be buying for that figure. Then we can assess whether it may do what we envisage. Any thoughts along these lines would be appreciated.
[Website Designers] You are asking some good but tough questions, they are tough as there isn’t a 100% correct answer, in general £7000 to £9000 is the level I think you need to invest in your website project with us for it to be a success. If you said to us you only have £5000 and can you build us a site then I would possibly still say yes but the amount of time / effort and love we can invest into the site would be less – its possible that we could create you a perfectly workable / functional / great looking website for less than the £7000 I estimated that would be needed to give you the best chance of success.
Would I be more confident in making the website perfect and ‘popular’ and visible to search engines and rank competitively as well as working with you long term to build visitors for the original estimate. The answer is yes.
If this was my personal project I would do exactly what we are proposing to do for yourselves for my company, so what I am trying to say is that I give my clients the tools that I know is required to make it work and what I would use myself.
When would you recoup your outlay? I really can’t say, I have had clients recoup their website ‘investment’ in one week before and I have others that ‘gave up’ and never promoted their own site. The most common ROI is months instead of days or years I would think.
Just to give you a bit more confidence in our website promotion I have emailed you a report showing website visitors over a long period for a dive education website we created from scratch. This website is now a world leader and ranks second in the world (after PADI for its key search phrase which is ‘padi idc’).
