Website transfers from disgruntled ex-website designers who have used Flash are never smooth especially if they registered the site in their own name!
[Website Owner] can someone please give me a call as want to talk about a site redesign for our Basildon based photography company.
[Website Design Company] It looks like we will need the FTP details to get the flash aspects of the site as they wont work on the site once its downloaded. The good news is that I have the rest of your site already. Happy to talk to existing company once you give us permission to do that
[Website Owner] Have you heard anything from active as really think there is a problem with the emails from there server and really getting fed up with no bookings
[Website Design Company] No they havent replied to the email, will re-sent and then phone them if no reply by 12 tomorrow. This is the email we sent them

Can you supply the ftp details for this site directly to us, this is will full approval of the website ownerswho have given me the permission for a website transfer and have been cc’ed on this email. Once we have the website code we will upload it to our servers and then supply you with the IPS tag to enable the transfer and then we shall take care of their website / hosting / email on their behalf once the transfer completes.Any problems feel free to email back or phone’
We are in the process of moving offices and will give you the landline once we get there (should be 4-5 weeks before we are in) If you call me (one ring) or text me I can call you straight back
[Website Owner] ok no probs i have had a email from the old Thurrock Website design company who are a bunch of amateurs, saying have i upset him, i just said that i want control of my “OWN” site and for it to be taken our of his name and transferred. Apparently they have a history of registering website in their own names.
[Website Design Company] Dont blame you and feel free to let him phone / email us directly to sort out the transfer stuff

‘As you’re site is 90% written in flash we just need to supply the flash files to your new website developer, hosting solution. They can add to their website. They may also require the original source flash files as well as the flash files have hard coded references to the webpages. These will obviously no longer work following any transfer and will need to be amended. Anyhow let me know your thoughts and your plans so we can start the ball rolling. Sorry to hear that you’re transferring, hopefully this isn’t due to anything we haven’t provided you from a design and hosting perspective.’
I told them
‘ yes we are looking into moving and the reason is that we feel there is a problem with the site ie emails not coming through and people not getting our replys which is being looked into also we want to change look of site. Think someone is sending fake emails which is also being looked into. Truth be known we want control of our own site and take exception to the fact you registered the site in your own name, we own the site not you.
Are we having any joy with transfer? as really want to move forward with site as its high season as you know! I’m now really sorry but we are going to have to put every thing on back burner for a while as we have had a problem in the family and cant deal with site at moment, sorry again will be in touch shortly as we will 100% go with your company to get this redesign sorted.
