We are constantly amazed as how varied people’s expectations of their new website and also how little they have thought about their project before approaching a website design company, below is a great example of someone that has spend time and effort working out what they want and as we always say the more time and effort you put into your website design proposal / requirements list the quicker and more efficiently we can develop your website.

I came across your site after reading reviews and I’m hoping you will be able to re-develop a website I bought out, it needs a complete overhaul only keeping the members (there are around 3,000 although a lot won’t need to be transferred unless they have pictures) with their pictures and transferring them over to the new design, and beefing up and modernizing the site drastically so it doesn’t look like it was made a 1000 years ago and delivers what escorts and clients expect today.
Please note this message is long, I tried to get the whole plan in.
This is an adult website, an escort directory… I need to be sure you are ok with that?
The main importance for me to stress is I have a very limited time frame to get this complete, getting it done yesterday as I read on your website is important as I have a lot of publicity coming up through my work in August and September in the US and UK and I need to make the most of this. Having the site built and fully functional so when I speak about the site through the media so people can visit and actually generate money.
I have another site which was a major failure, it was supposed to be finished in a month and never really was, the coding is a mess and it wouldn’t hold together, it is online but not functional, I can’t make money because it’s likely to breakdown.
I lost a small fortune and was held back when I had everything in place to make a lot of money from it. I really can’t afford repeat that again and I have to say I’m nervous even going back to attempt number 2 because that experience was no fun at all.
I have two proposals in a way depending on budget. I would like to pay £8000, so the maximum budget would be £9000. Obviously if it can be within the price for a standard database driven site that would be ideal, I have just looked at your example website costs and your reviews and feel confident you guys can deliver.
Depending what you can give me for the above budget and the timescale you can develop it in, hopefully all of the below can be done by the maximum date of August 28th to go live by that date, earlier is even better. If some of it is outside budget and time frame, I may leave bits out and come back to those later.
Okay the development plan:
1 Fully functional Escort directory, international for all countries, with two types of memberships for escorts and for client members.
2 Escorts have tiered memberships (pay more get more exposure across the site). Platinum advertisers would show up the top of search results, recently updated page/box on homepage and on top of the online now page when logged in. As well as randomly on the home page. Silver would show up below Platinum in search and across the site but not on homepage. Basic (lowest paying) would appear as the last results and not on the homepage.
3 Client memberships (the site users who hire the escorts) allow paying clients members to post reviews on escorts, watch videos and access the forum.
4 CCBill integration would be needed for payment, choosing the most automatized method they allow
5 Geo targeting so when users come on to homepage they see escorts from their city and country they are located in
6 The Geo targetting should allow Platinum escorts in New York for example to always show up on top and on the homepage when users are visiting the site from new york, but not show up on the homepage when a user accesses the site from London. The user see’s a different homepage depending on the country, or different escorts on the same homepage
7 As well as a basic search sidebar and advanced search by criteria, stats, location etc… I’d like a visual Map search for users to see a global map and zoom in to country then city if they choose to use that way of searching. This map/globe could be on the Age verify page so when a user zooms in to a country, region and city and clicks enter it open the homepage on that location. By-passing the Geo targeting, otherwise if enter site is clicked the geo targeting opens the correct city and escorts within.
8 Blog – this could be wordpress installed direct on it’s own page designed like the rest of site, leaving room on the side for platinum escorts and paid advertisements to show up.
9 Forum – on site similar to escort and client members should be able to post in the forum with their membership details, so not needing to sign up twice on separate sections.
10 Videos – escorts can upload videos with size compression built in to the site. Number of videos unlimited for Platinum, 10 for silver and 5 for basic escorts. Client members can watch these on their own page with a link from escorts profile.
11 Links page – banner exchange and links by category
12 Online Now, Available Now pages – escorts from their control panel can mark themselves as available for 2 – 8 hours
13 Green light next to escorts profiles who are logged in and appearing on, online now page
14 Escorts need control panel to edit their pictures, change position of pictures on their profile, edit their txt and stats, age won’t auto update every year it’s up to escorts what age displays. The profiles auto approve without manually approving. I will need ability on website CMS to edit escorts profiles if needed. Prevention from writing urls in their ad copy will be handy so it deletes url addresses or emails, but not essential.
15 On my CMS as well as editing escorts profiles, I’d need ability to approve escorts/clients so it by-passes CCBill’s auto approval in case I change the payment processor or need to give free membership if someone is unhappy. Ability to create new pages, edit pages, manage advertisements, change sign up forms adding details to show extra stats on escort profiles or take away stats, adding cities etc.. Fully equip CMS to change basically anything with SEO management for me to update on all pages.
16 Contact forms for me and on escorts page for clients sent to their email with design integrated. Newsletter design to send from CMS to clients or escorts by country, or to expired escort advertisers reminding to upgrade or to current visible escorts.
17 Platinum and Silver escorts also can display their website link on their profile, as well as social media links Twitter / Facebook / Goggle+. All escort profiles and blogs need social media buttons for people to share their profiles. Escorts when selecting Available now, if they can have option to tweet that direct from their control panel opening up the box with text saying, “available for the next 4 hours” for example then they click send to twitter.
18 If escort membership expires their profile stays on the system, but hidden from view, they can still log in to upgrade. Their videos need to be hidden as well, forum posts can stay visible.
19 The stats for escorts to enter on sign up / edit profile forms and visible on their profile are: Name (text box), age (drop down box 18-80), height (Displays like 172cms/5′ 8ft), weight (120lbs/60kg), hair colour, eyes, race, position (top/bottom/versatile), size (small, average, large, extra large) = drop down selection boxes. Nationality (text box), rates: In call and out call, Hourly, 2 hours, overnight, weekend (text boxes, with currency icon drop down box). Nearest Subway: escorts can write text here. Phone number (text box), Build (drop down box: slim, skinny, athletic, defined, muscular, stocky), Body hair (None, shaved, naturally smooth, some hair, hairy). Cut/Uncut (drop down selection: cut, uncut). Languages spoken (text box with help by side suggesting they separate languages by comma). Smoke (Yes, no, socially – drop box). Drink (Yes, no, socially). Drugs (Never, sometimes, yes). Safe sex (Always safe, sometimes, ask, never). – I may think of more but believe that’s covered.
20 Google map built in to display on profiles, only showing first 3 characters of escorts post code/zip code
21 There will need to be all countries and cities added to the list, only cities with escorts in display on the search with a number of active escorts next to the city name.
22 For the design I like red, white and blue colours – a slight nudge to the USA and UK but without blatantly obvious patriotism. All countries are wanted to sign up. My personal website gives an idea of colours although that site is branded towards UK and USA and to simple to compare in other ways
23 I will provide pics, modelling myself for the homepage. If you are able to provide pics I would like a muscular, black guy on the age verification page on one side and me on the other side. Otherwise I can set up a photo shoot to get a pic like that.
24 Like with [website removed] on their homepage, they have a pic at the top middle section saying pimp yourself out etc.. It’s a slide show for escorts to click and sign up or client members. Graphics as well as my pics being added on a similar thing with text to get sign ups will be good.
25 I have a server – it’s a Debian Linux box running Apache 1 with PHP 5.2.13
I am tempted to get rid of this, the cost is too high. I’m not sure what your hosting cost would be for this site?
Please tell me if the above is possible within my budget and time scale? I don’t want to, but I could leave the forum or videos part if I must and add them later. I’m basing it on your FAQ and taking in to account the site needs a lot of functions. Will you be able to definitely deliver by August 28th? Earlier the better.
I don’t want it rushed, well I guess I do, is this reasonable to ask and able to be done?
This is majorly important I have TV, radio and press interviews at that time giving free publicity in the US, UK and internationally that I’d never afford otherwise.
I have other websites mostly white-label dating, live cams etc, I’ll be looking to build a adult social network, possibly mobile apps (if you do them? It didn’t mention on your site) and always have new ideas. If we can do this and it succeeds, there will be more projects I need to do later.

[website client] Can you tell me are you able to do the site without some of the functions like videos, forum etc.. within that budget? So a basic version of what I asked.
And what would the price be for the site exactly as I describe? I can see if I can figure out things my end.Was everything else ok with the plan, time frame being most important and the functions? If the budget is all, expanded on from the last email, I can either downgrade the plan to have the essential parts of the site. Just escorts and blog, social media buttons.
I’d also like a full quote for the entire site as described. I knew it was asking a lot which is why I mentioned two plans. I can look at finances and see if I can swing the full budget, I understand it’s 50% deposit and 50% on completion. The dead line is most important I may be able to meet a new budget.
